ROSENLUND TRAVEL SERVICE was founded in 1912 by my grandfather, Axel M. Rosenlund.   He began our Family Journey into the travel industry by arranging steamship passage from his homeland of Sweden to the United States.  I was born into the travel agency business.   As the third generation of our family to be crafting travel memories, I have been a Travel Advisor at Rosenlund Travel for more than 50 years.  From Honeymoon to Family Vacation Travel to 25th and 50th Wedding Anniversary Travel to Exotic and Adventure Tours, I have arranged it all and experienced much of it myself.

Having myself visited nearly 60 countries and sailed on more than 40 ocean and river cruise ships over many years, crafting travel experiences for our clients is based on my own life experience as well rich client feedback.  I love helping others expand their autobiographies through travel.  We are members of ASTA, American Society of Travel Agents, CLIA, Cruise Lines International Association, ARC, Airline Reporting Corporation, IATAN,  and the BBB, Better Business Bureau, as well as several other business and professional organizations.

I have earned the ACC,  Accredited Cruise Counselor Certification as well as the MCC, Master Cruise Counselor certification from the University of Miami.  I also have earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Master of Arts Degree and have studied abroad in England and in France.

If Africa interests you, I have visited Southern Africa, including South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe, with many and varied safari experiences.  There is no excitement like watching a full grown male lion on the prowl for food or sitting quietly in the Bush at sunset just watching the animals coming to water.  And did you know that the wines of South Africa date back to the French Huguenots who fled to South Africa in the 1500 and 1600’s.

Have you ridden an elephant in India or Myanmar?  The answer is “yes,” in both countries.  It is high up, and you need to hang on tightly!

Have you visited Siem Reap to witness Angkor Wat Temple at sunrise and sunset.  I have and can arrange it for you, together with a wonderful river cruise on the Mekong River.
